Mission Trip to Argentina | February 2027

New Hope is planning a trip to Argentina for February 2027. Since the seasons in Argentina are opposite from the Mid-West, the group will be there during the summertime! Including travel time, the expected length of the trip will be between 7-10 days.

TRIP Objectives

To serve the local community in both love and our talents. One goal is to support/encourage missionaries that we support as a church. The exact mission/physical work we do will be determined by the skill set of those who will be going on the trip. There is a very wide range of possible projects: painting, construction, VBS, sports clinic, etc.

Location

La Plata, Argentina. La Plata is the capital of Argentina's Buenos Aires province and is near the city of Buenos Aires. A planned city, it’s known for its distinctive diagonal avenues. At its center, the open expanse of Plaza Moreno is crowned by the grand, neo-Gothic Cathedral of La Plata. They speak Castellano (Spanish). The city will feel very European to anyone who has traveled to Europe. The city is considered safe, and Go Ministries would always go to ensure the group members safety.

Trip Details

Cost: The total approximate cost per person is $2,500. $1,250 designated for flights and $1,250 for trip expenses (transportation, lodging, meals in Argentina, project supplies). Team members are responsible for meals during travel, one meal while on the trip, and souvenirs/personal shopping. A deposit of $550 is required for each individual, collected by February 2026. Fundraising will be discussed and encouraged once the team is finalized.
